PCU-AAI, Inc. SPONSORS 2nd DR. LINO Q. ARQUIZA LECTURE SERIES
The PCU-Alumni Association in cooperation with the Graduate School of Education and Business Management held the 2nd Dr. Lino Q. Arquiza Lecture Series last 02 February 2008. This lecture series was named after the 3rd University President who served PCU from 1969 up to 1988. Dr. Lino Q. Arquiza was a prominent UCCP Lay leader and educator. The Association has adopted this lecture series as one of its major programs to help promote academic excellence and enhance university image.
Dr. Greg Melchor C. de Lara, AB ’79; MBA ’86; MAEd ’98 presented a paper entitled “ A First-Person Account in the Practice of School Leadership and Culture Change: Experiences of St. Joseph Institute of Technology, St. Francis of Assisi College System and IETI College of Science and Technology”.
Prof. Ma. Luisa G. Valera, Acting Director of Center for Research and Instructional Materials or CRIM, PCU, read a paper entitled “Savings Ratio in the Philippines. Its Determinants and Stability.
Dr. Revelino D. Garcia, MBA ’79 read a paper entitled “Cavite Cooperative: Towards Value-Based Corporate Governance”.
Graduate School students and faculty attended the lecture-series.
A new set of officers of the Association was installed into office last 05 March 2008, at the Audio-Visual Room of the University. Invited to attend said occasion are alumni-employees and friends and supporters of the alumni Association.
The Rev. Bernadette A. Morales, Administrative Pastor and member of Philippine Christian University Chaplaincy Committee gave the inspirational message during the dedication in service. The focus of her message was – “He Who Plants, He Who Waters”. Rev. Morales also installed into office the following elected association officers for SY: 2008-2009:

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION SPONSORS SEND-OFF PARTY FOR BATCH ‘07
A Send-Off Party and Program was sponsored by the alumni association last 02 April 2008 at the University Auditorium. The officers greeted the graduating students and thanked them for supporting the university’s vision and mission during their stay in PCU.
Dr. Greg Melchor C. de Lara, Philippine Christian University-Alumni Association Inc. President led in the distribution of packed meals after the program. This party coincided with the last rehearsals for graduating student planned by the Special Events Committee.
Dr. de Lara encouraged the graduating class of 2007 to always consider coming back to their Alma Mater, to promote her good name and to serve her in the near future. He also reminded them to attend the annual Homecoming slated on December 06, 2008 at the University Auditorium.
A total of seven hundred (700) graduating students coming from the Colleges of Arts and Science and Social Work; Education; Nursing; HRM; Business Management and Computer Science registered together with their academic deans and faculty-members.
The association has adopted this annual activity to help promote the association’s vision-mission and programs to incoming alumni-members.
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION HONORS BOARD PASSERS FOR 2007 AND 2008
Philippine Christian University Alumni Association hosted a thanksgiving Fellowship cum Dinner Party for the 2008 Board Passers of the university last 10 July 2008 at the Kamayan Restaurant at Padre Faura St., Ermita, Manila. The association awarded the board-passer with Certificate of Recognition and treated them to a sumptuous dinner together with their academic deans and faculty-members.
