  The College of Computer Studies changed its name from College of Computer Studies (CCS) to College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT). The change in the nomenclature was approved by the PCU Management Committee upon the recommendation of the Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT) of the Commission on Higher Education - National Capital Region (CHED-NCR) Alignment of the BS Computer Engineering Program under the College of Engineering is a step in the right direction.

College of Business Administration and Accountancy

Department of Accountancy

 
     
 

The College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) and the Department of Accountancy was the recipient of textbooks, instruction and AV materials from the Philippine Stock Exchange through Mr. Jay Peñaflor, Head of the Marketing Education Department and from the Philippine Council of Deans and Educators in Business, headed by its President, Dr. Nelson S. Abeleda, Dean, College of Accountancy, University of Manila, last October 19, 2010.

 

Present during the simple ceremony held at the PC Auditorium were Justice Wenceslao I. Agnir, Jr. (Ret.) and Dr. Greg Melchor C. De Lara, Vice President for Academic Affairs, who accepted and acknowledged the books donated. The donation was witnessed by PCU Deans and Directors, CBAA faculty members, officers and members of the different CBAA Students’ Organizations – JPIA, JMA, JEM, Jr. Entrepreneurship, Jr. Bankers’ Society, -, the University Student Government and the Blue and Silver editorial staff.

Prof. Alfredo A. Olano, Internal Auditor and Concurrent Department Head, BSA gave the opening remarks and Prof. Fely M. Ronan, CBAA Dean, gave the closing remarks.       

 
     
 

CPA LICENSURE EXAMINATION, OCTOBER 2010

 
     
 

The following BSA students passed the October 2010 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants:

  2. Buenconsejo, Christopher DM.
  3. Bullungan, Lilian Janet B.
  4. Delfin, John Michael I.
  5. Dimapilis, Glaiza T.
  6. Labindao, Maribeth L.
  7. Mabasa, Jaypee E.
  8. Vivo, Jacinel V. 

A total of thirty (30) students took the examination of which eleven (11) are First Timers and nineteen (19) are Repeaters. Those who passed are repeaters. There were also four (4) students who are Conditional.

 

Our passing percentage is 26.67% vs. the National Passing Percentage of 48.36%.
